T&S at the Hangout Music Festival
Hangout Music Festival is the first and only festival of its kind. Located in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama, Hangout features an eclectic musical lineup with stages located directly on white sandy beaches with ocean views. Hangout features today’s top rock ‘n roll and contemporary artists in an idyllic sun-soaked setting. No other location allows music fans the opportunity to hear three consecutive days of their favorite bands while experiencing mind, body and spirit rejuvenation on the beach.
Despite the talk of possible wintry, white weather again this weekend, I’ve got spring fever and camping on my mind.That’s because I got a whiff of the initial announcement for the May 13-14 Hipnic III Music Festival, to be held again this year at the Fernwood Resort & Campgrounds in Big Sur. It’s a two-day campout with a roster of bands brought together by both Britt Govea of Folk Yeah! and Tim Bluhm of the band The Mother Hips. Last year’s event was major cool in my estimation, and I suspect it’s fair to say that this year will be even better.Tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 1, at 10 a.m. for the Friday/Saturday campout package, available by calling Fernwood at 667-2422. Be among the first to reserve your place at the campfire. At this time there are no particulars as to when each artist or band is slated to perform, but following are the bands currently scheduled — with more to be added.
